Ann Rose
As a designer and project manager for over 20+ years, I’ve seen my way through thousands of projects and know what questions to ask to deliver efficient project organization, clear and targeted messaging, and creative design. I'm an adept leader used to guiding clients and teams through the design process.
I launched Ann Rose Design + Strategy to help health care marketing departments and foundations produce targeted well-designed marketing pieces.
Getting ready to climb the Chains at Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, the middle of a 17 mile day-hike that took 13 hours to complete.
Building a Team
Years of experience have taught me that expert collaboration is the best strategy for developing quality work. Depending on clients’ needs and the project scope, I assemble teams that are the best for the job. Web Developers, Graphic Designers, Illustrators, Copywriters, and Content Writers all bring their particular talent to a job. I manage the team and bring creative direction and team management.
Technical Prowess
I am well-versed in the Adobe suite of design software, with particular expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I have built websites on Squarespace and Wordpress and hand-coded from the bottom up in html and css. I have proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
Work Ethics and Skill Set
My first job was a cashier at a hardware store when I was 16. I earned enough money to go on a school trip to Germany and I have been working ever since. From service bureau typesetter to production manager to senior designer, I have held many positions that all contribute to the skills I bring to the table now. I know hard work and how to get things done! I also bring creative curiosity to projects as well as their management and I enjoy working out solutions as a team member.
I have been practicing yoga for 20+ years and have a 200 hour yoga teacher certification. Through teaching public classes, I’ve learned how to respectfully and clearly guide individuals in their own experience and be a positive coach.
